The WBOP PHO supports and delivers primary health care and wellness services through general practices, iwi partners and community organisations from Katikati to Ōpōtiki.
We do this by planning, funding, and coordinating services, projects and programmes alongside providers. This helps us offer our wider WBOP community options to support their health and wellness needs. Many of these services are accessed through your general practice, community providers and iwi partners. Some programmes you can access directly. Learn more and get started below!
Additional Services
Free Interpreter Support for Your Health Appointments
If you are Deaf, hard of hearing or find it hard to speak or understand English, you can ask for a free interpreter to support you during your health appointments. The interpreter can help you understand what the doctor or nurse is saying and help them understand you. You don’t need to arrange it yourself, just ask your general practice to organise an interpreter for you. This service is available to people enrolled with general practices that are part of WBOP PHO.
