Register with the GP Practice of your choice

Welcome to the heart of your healthcare journey: general practices, the home of community health. General practices provide essential services and personalised care to keep you and your loved ones thriving. Here, you will find the information you need to get the most from the relationships with your healthcare providers.

Registering with a doctor and general practice is more than paperwork – your registration includes many healthcare benefits. By signing up, you get subsidised visits, which save you money on every appointment. You also get a healthcare provider who knows your medical history.

Additionally, you can access free or subsidised programmes and services provided by WBOP PHO, such as Diabetes Management, Health Coaches, and Mental Health Support. Plus, there is no cost to register with the GP! Just contact any of our medical centres to get started.

How to register with a doctor in 3 steps

  • CHOOSE A GENERAL PRACTICE
Start by picking a general practice that feels right for you. Look for ones close to you that are open for enrolment and taking new patients. Some medical centres might be full for now. On our ‘Find a GP Practice’ page, you can search for features that matter to you, like the languages spoken, available parking, or special services.

CONTACT THE ONE THAT APPEALS TO YOU
Follow your chosen general practice’s guidance on how to contact them — via email, phone, a website form, or a personal visit. Each doctor or medical centre may have a different way of managing registration requests.
