Te Rerenga: September 2025 edition – Easier to reach care

Welcome to the September 2025 edition of Te Rerenga! In this issue, we feature the relaunch of BeingWell, our refreshed identity for free, everyday mental health and wellbeing services across the rohe. The story highlights how a community-focused, co-designed brand is making support from Health Coaches, HIPs, counsellors and social workers easier to access.

You’ll also find updates on free cervical screening clinics, our formal opposition to the Pae Ora Amendment Bill, and the launch of Let’s Talk Screening, a new training for non-clinical kaimahi. Each article reflects our ongoing focus on access, equity and supporting those on the frontlines of care.

Te Rerenga is WBOP PHO’s newsletter, a platform to celebrate the incredible work of our kaimahi, general practice, iwi partners and community services across the Bay of Plenty. It is a space to honour successes, share best practices and navigate the evolving currents of primary care. From this edition, Te Rerenga will be published quarterly, continuing to bring you stories that reflect the heart of our health network.
